Born on September 8 in Essen.
1964-1976
School attendance; studies Ethnology, Art History and Sociology in Münster. Transition from drawing/painting to artistic textile design.
1979-1985
Studies Cultural Anthropology in Amsterdam. Concentration: Women's Studies/Textile Arts. Lessons from Ibu Diallo und Kalouga Traore in African Percussion; Diploma "Drs. Cultural Antropology" (= Master of Arts in Ethnology) with the topic "Discrimination of the Textile Arts " under Professor Johannes Fabian, University of Amsterdam. Sets music to the video "Stadtkinder" ("City Children") for Antje Starost - Film production in Berlin with Mohammed El Hachimi.
1985
Theater project in Berlin: Historical fashion show of the '30s-'40s Jahre: "Wovon kann der Landser denn nur träumen?" - video documentation of the project. Acceptance of multi-year employment as workshop leader.
1986
Relocates to Cologne.
Begins work on dissertation under Professor Dr. H. Nixdorf, University of Dortmund. Presently under continual employment as an instructor for the University of Cologne, Department of Textile Design.
Founding of the musical-duo "Peter Pan & the Bongo Queen".
1987
Marries Gerd Müller-Thomkins.
Film production "Mein Vater André Thomkins" ("My Father André Thomkins") for the Thomkins retrospective at the Akademie der Künste (Academey of Arts), Berlin
Entrance into the Adam Noidlt Intermission-Orchestra.
Gives birth to son Julian George.
Organizes and conceptualizes fashion show: "Anzügliches aus unseren Kleiderschränken" - video documentation of the project. Since then, private instructor for the African Drum.
1988
"Anagrammatische Museolosik" concert performance at the Art Museum of Lucern with "Peter Pan & the Bongo Queen".
1992
Gives birth to son Marcel André.
Solo performance with Thomkins-Anagramms in galleries and museums.
